Pastor Frederick Evans was born in East St. Louis, IL, and graduated from Lincoln Sr. High School in 1995. During his high school years, he acknowledged his calling to preach the gospel and was licensed under the late Dr. M. R. Lemons of Pilgrim Baptist Church, East St. Louis, IL.  

 

After graduating High School, he attended Millikin University in Decatur, IL where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services and Religion. While there he served as Associate Minister to Pastor Tyronne Oldham at the New Salem Baptist Church. During this time he was also ordained into the Gospel Ministry, by the Rev. Dr. M. R. Lemons. After finishing his undergraduate degree, he further went on and completed his Master of Arts in Non-Profit Administration from Lindenwood University. After receiving his B.A and during the pursuit of his MA degree, he moved back home and attended his home church Pilgrim Baptist Church where he served as Associate Minster and then as Youth Pastor.  

 

Pastor Evans was called to Pastor Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Robertsville, MO where he served 10 years. On April 1, 2019, he was called to Pastor Flat Creek Missionary Baptist Church in East Carondelet, IL.  Pastor Evans has worked in the Social Service arena for over 20 years, including Child Welfare, Mental Health, Substance Abuse Treatment, and Senior Services.  

 

Pastor Evans is currently working in the greater St. Louis, MO area serving the community. Pastor Evans is a member of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity.  He has served as a facilitator for the Dwight E. Patton Foundation. He has also taught courses on the undergraduate level titled “African American Spirituality". Most importantly Pastor Evans loves God and family and in his spare time, you can find him gardening or fishing.
